East Mississippi Community College employees Dr. Renyetta Johnson and Marilyn Ford were awarded certificates May 14 for completing the Mississippi Community College Policy Fellows Program (CPFP). The two were nominated to represent EMCC in the 2023-2024 cohort of the CPFP. They were joined by participants from other colleges across the state.

East Mississippi Community College Associate Degree Nursing graduate Abby Ables had no idea when she left for work April 23 from her West Point home enroute to her job as a nurse in training at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus that she, a deputy and a dental assistant would soon pull two men from an overturned, burning SUV.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) head basketball coach Larry Anderson was the guest speaker during East Mississippi Community College's spring 2024 commencement ceremonies that took place Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at the college's Golden Triangle and Scooba campuses.

Four East Mississippi Community College students enrolled in the Welding & Fabrication Technology program on the college's Golden Triangle campus will compete in the National SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta in June after earning top honors in the Mississippi SkillsUSA State Championships in Jackson earlier this month.

EMCC AWARDED U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR GRANT TO BOOST TRAINING IN SELECT ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROGRAMS OF STUDYApril 11, 2024

The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded East Mississippi Community College a $1.56 million grant that will bolster efforts at The Communiversity to meet employer demands for skilled workers in industrial and engineering technology sectors while increasing enrollment and retention of female and minority students in advanced manufacturing programs of study.
